Quickly Commission Your New Drive
Integration and start-up of your system does not need to be complex and time consuming. With ProtectionPlus Drives Start-up Services from Rockwell Automation, you can leverage the extensive product and industry experience of Rockwell Automation technicians to quickly commission drives and reduce the time between integration and actual start-up.

ProtectionPlus Drives Start-up Services verify drive installation to ensure proper electrical, mechanical and environmental criteria are met. This includes verification of power and I/O wiring to the drive, custom drive configuration/tuning to meet application specific requirements, and diagnosing/troubleshooting problems that occur during a stand-alone drive start-up.

ProtectionPlus can also extend an eligible product parts warranty and add a labour warranty.

Complete ProtectionPlus Drives Start-up Services include:

• Verification of proper drive and motor installation.
• Verification of proper control and power wiring.
• Verification of proper AC voltage and distribution network.
• Grounding checks.
• Power-up, drive checks and setup.
• Custom drive configuration/tuning to meet specific application requirements.

Before Services are Provided
Before ProtectionPlus Drives Start-up Services are performed, the following must be provided by the customer:

• A motor in good working condition.
• Complete installation of the drive (according to standard Allen-Bradley installation instructions) including mounting, grounding, ventilation, environment, cabling, alignment with motor and vibration.
• Access to the drive and appropriate personnel to assist the start-up technician.
• Proper control signals and speed reference.
• A purchase order (PO) number prior to issuing any labour authorisation communications.
• A safe work environment.
