Problem with Windows Installer Package

Question:

While trying to uninstall Rockwell Software in the Windows Vista environment, encounted an error message as follows:
"There is a problem with this Windows Installer package. A program required for this install to complete"

Answer:

The reason is the "Administrator Rights".

Even though a user may claim that they are logged in as Administrator, it is a good habit to check the setting using the following procedure.

Windows Vista has introduced a setting that exacerbates the environment:
  1. Right click on "Computer" and click on "Manage"
  2. Click on "Local Users and Groups", click on "Users"
  3. Click on "Administrator"
  4. Right click and select on "Properties"
  5. Unchecked "Account is Disabled"
(Note: This should clear this box. Now close all windows.)
